Diaper Stacker

I've wanted a diaper stacker for a while. It would be best to buy a used one, but I've had a hard time finding one. I also couldn't find a good pattern for one. It took a long time to make...but apparently it was worth it to me because I made a second one. These dimensions can be adjusted easily. One of them I made closer to 11x7 on the base, and shorter than 20 inches.

The last step is to cut out a piece of cardboard the size of the bottom and put it in.
I freed up some shelf space and didn't spend $25 on a new diaper stacker!

  1. HI, I am having a terrible time trying to figure out how to do step 5. It just doesn't seem to fit or work right when I turn it inside out. Please help. Your pictures didn't show step 5 either. Thank you for your time!

    1. I wish I could draw here on the screen--Step five. The top piece(D) from step four is like a pocket, it's open at the bottom. Slide the bottom piece (with the sides folded into "w" shapes like in the drawing) about 1" up into the pocket. Pin. Stitch along the bottom of the top piece (D) so it holds in the bottom piece. There is no turning inside out after that...It's all done. Hope this reply isn't too late!

  3. Hi, I'm really struggling with step 2. I can't seem to fit the large piece around the corners of the base without making a pleat/fold at each corner. Your's looks so smooth. I wondered how you made it fit? Thanks!

    1. I put the C piece under the A piece while sewing. Then at a corner, I stop sewing at the margin, and turn the piece 90 degrees. I adjust and fold the A piece to get it to lay flat before putting down my sewing foot.
